INFORMATION FOR OUR CUSTOMERS

Opening An Account

All customers of SCL must have an established account in order to purchase any merchandise. To open an account the following must be completed.

  • A fully completed credit application must be filled out.
  • Furnish a General Excise Tax Resale License. We will keep a photocopy on file.
  • Agree to abide by all payment, credit and delivery policies.

Note: It is not a normal practice to extend credit terms to all new accounts upon opening. New customers with no payment history will need to establish an ability to pay on a COD (Cash On Delivery) basis for a period of time. Also, we require signature(s) on the personal guarantee in order for SCL to consider offering credit terms.

Delivery Orders

All orders for delivery are processed for next day delivery; except for Saturday orders, which are delivered on Mondays. Orders are entered into the computer system and processed by route and by customers. The following are important factors for all delivery orders.

  • Orders must be received between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Orders received outside of this window may not be processed for next day deliveries. Saturday orders for Monday deliveries must be received between 7:30 AM through 11:30 AM. Orders maybe called in to both the Hilo or Kona offices.
  • Orders below the minimum will be accessed a delivery charge of $20.00. Please contact Customer Service for our minimum order amounts.
  • Orders can be placed with your designated District Sales Consultants (DSC), or by calling the order into our Customer Service Representatives (CSR).
  • Fuel surcharges may apply. Please inquire with Customer Service.

We do not process same day orders and deliveries in our frozen foods division. However, we do accept same day orders and deliveries in our fresh produce and fresh fish division. Please feel free to contact each division directly to get information on order cut-off times and delivery limits.

Will-Call Orders

Our will-call service is available to you for those circumstances where you require merchandise on that day, and did not place a delivery order or could not meet the minimum amount. Will-call orders are called into the main office and picked up at our warehouse facility. Please allow at least 60 – 90 minutes for our warehouse personnel to process your order and have it ready for pick-up. The will-call pick-up hours on Mondays through Fridays are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Saturdays, the pick-up hours are 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Please remember that the above are pick-up cut-off times and not order placing times.

Will-calls may also be picked up at our Kona facility. However, those orders need to be placed the day before in order to get the items out to Kona on the next day delivery. The Kona facility observes the same pick-up hours as the Hilo facility.
